Meditation CircleLearn and practice the art of meditation and becoming conscious of consciousness itself in a meditation group that meets every other week. The group will learn to enter and hold the innate field of awareness, thus learning how to recognize the inherent qualities of the field. The qualities of the field are spaciousness, energy, light, and oneness. Through expanding and integrating these experiences into everyday life, one is able to gain a deeper understanding of one’s divine nature. In addition, meditation promotes physical health, greater relaxation, less emotional reactivity to stressful events, and greater clarity of mind. I will teach the practices of traditions that emphasize the embodiment of consciousness, particularly Dzogchen and western phenomenology. The meditation sessions will be highly experiential with opportunity for sharing experiences that occur during and in-between sessions. The sessions last one hour, and regular attendance is encouraged. Please dress comfortably. A nominal fee of $10 is charged per session. Meeting dates and time: Thursday nights, 7:30 pm -8:30 pm — June 5. June 19, July 3, July 17, July 31, and every other Thursday night through August and the Fall of 2008 |
