We live in challenging times, and learning how to handle stress effectively is crucial for people of all ages living in our area. Mind-Body Skills classes and Meditation Circle are two avenues leading to a more balanced and content life.

Learning and practicing stress management techniques in the context of an experiential group, as in Mind-Body Skills , provides invaluable social support. It is an opportunity to share and have your experience honored by others as well as to listen mindfully to them without feeling like you have to fix their problems. The group setting provides an ideal environment to practice mindfulness interpersonally and, therefore, to more readily carry the learning forth into everyday life. Additionally, when people practice stress management techniques together or meditate together as in Meditation Circle, a group resonance develops that deepens the relaxed, focused, expansive state for all present.

Also additional classes will be available in Spring 2008, such as Advanced Class in Mind-Body Skills — intended for those who already have incorporated stress management skills into their lives or who wish a follow-up class to further hone their skills, and assist them in making healthy lifestyle changes.
